Description: This vintage traditional doll in the Yajiro style is thought to be by artisan Minao Sato. Yajiro style Kokeshi are known for their striking colors and more modern body shape (slender yet stable) (source 1). Yajiro dolls are also known for their “hats” which are created by painted circles often in a variety of colors a top their heads.
Condition: This doll is in excellent condition. There is minor chipping at the base and fading paint in
some areas.
